Aarlon Unit

It was initially designed and built several years ago for all broadcast transmitting sites. Aarlon handles relaying all transmitter site information, including temperature, video and real time audio. Also provides 24 status (contact closure) indications, 16 meter or voltage readings along with 34 NO or NC relay command control functions. All of these reading and functions are sent to any computer via a password protected Internet web browser connection.

Aarlon also has a voice modem to allow POTS callers (via a password) to gain access to the same IP based graphic information and commands via DTMF tones; complete with voice responses from Aarlon as the user seeks information or enacts commands. These are standard items within Aarlon

Aarlon boasts two on-board computers that process all of the command relays, meter readings, status levels; as well as handles video and audio serviced up by the site (the composite video camera is not included in the standard Aarlon package).

Aarlon’s base features are as follows:

  • 16 Voltage inputs -10/+10 Volts DC with 16bit resolution (for the instrumentation industry, Aarlon can easily be configured to 1-5 vdc or 4-20 ma inputs)
  • 24 Status inputs, consisting of N.O. or N.C. dry contacts
  • 34 relay commands N.O. or N.C. Contact rating: 1 amp at 24 volts DC max
  • Video input NTSC or PAL with Pelco PTZ RS 485 control
  • 2 balanced audio inputs, high level
  • Voice POTS accessed modem (somewhat like the older Gentner* VRC series of remote controls)
  • 10/100 BaseT Ethernet interface
  • Dynamic Graphics User Interface (GUI) WEB based intuitive interface package
  • Keep alive battery back up of 1 hour
  • 7 temperature inputs -50 to +244F, resolution +/- 0.5 degree
  • Wind speed and Wind direction (Peet Brothers separate unit)
  • Zig-Bee 802.15.4 on board wireless network (optional and separate Zig-Bee units)
  • 1 humidity sensor 1 to 99% Rh (optional)
